The story
behind Motto

Preserving our craftsmanship and passing it on to future generations — that’s what drives Suzie Lepretre, a vintage fashion enthusiast and the founder of MOTTO.

After gaining initial experience at Kiliwatch in Paris in 2016, Suzie decided to travel across Europe to hunt for unique pieces.

While traveling, she struggled to trace the history of the garments she was sourcing and to identify the key details that would help her better understand these new finds.

This led to the idea of creating a platform with her associate Louis Cocusse that simplifies the search.

In 2024, Suzie joined the incubator at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris and MOTTO won the Pitch Prize at the IFM x Grant Thornton incubator event.

Subsequently, Motto will offer a service of authentication and traceability to provide even more knowledge about the product
